Manchester United deny £1.5bn takeover offer from Qatar

The story goes that Manchester United is approached by the Qatari royal family to buy the club for 1.5billion pounds, But Manchester denies that they have been approached by anyone.

A Qatari consortium is reported to have offered Manchester United 1.5bn pounds. Manchester current owners, the Glazer Brothers,  responds that they have not been approached and that the club is not for sale, and they would value the club at least 2.0bn pounds. The consortium is an investment group controlled by the royal family, who recently made a record shirtdeal with Barcelona for 125 million pounds.

reaction: I am glad that Manchester does not respond to these kind of offers. The midde east think that they can buy anything they want, and before you know it everything is owned by rich people who live in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. They just see everything as an investement instead of having heart for the club, and that is the most important thing if you ask me. Manchester has no financial problems so they do not even have to consider selling the club.
